The UAMS Department of Psychiatry is hosting a wellness conference for mental-health professionals on Saturday, Nov. 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Hospital Lobby Gallery. “Hope for the Healing Heart” is open to physicians, nurses, social workers, counselors and psychologists from all over Arkansas. The event is free; parking on campus is $7, a boxed lunch is available for $8 and CME credit for attending the event will cost $5. Cash and checks will be accepted the day of the event. The UAMS College of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 5.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
The event is supported by Arkansas Mental Health Counselors Association (ArMHCA), the Arkansas Chapter of the National Association for Social Workers, the Arkansas Psychological Association, the Arkansas Psychiatric Society, and the American Psychiatric Nurses Association, Arkansas Chapter.
