Division of Health Services Research

The Division of Health Services Research is an integral component of the Psychiatric Research Institute, one of six designated Centers of Excellence on the campus of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS).
• For nearly two decades, the Department of Psychiatry’s Division of Health Services Research (DHSR) has been recognized as one of the largest, most comprehensive, and innovative health services research centers in the nation.
• DHSR has received competitively awarded grant funding from NIMH, NIAAA, NIDA, VA, DoD, SAMSHA, HSRA and the U.S. Dept. of Education.
• DHSR is currently home to three nationally recognized VA-funded services research centers:

Location

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is located in the state capitol of Little Rock.  With the Mississippi Delta to the east and the Ozark Highlands and Ouachita Mountains to the west, DHSR investigators conduct research with diverse a group of individuals living in the rural South.
