The Psychiatric Research Institute’s Neuropsychology Service was created to provide neuropsychological assessments of adolescents and adults with various neurological, medical, neurodevelopmental and psychiatric conditions. Their patients include young adults with sports-related head injuries, injured
veterans, auto accident victims and dementia patients.

Neuropsychological assessments include those for memory, attention and concentration, and reaction time, using standardized assessment instruments.

While neither Dr. Jennifer Gess nor Dr. Jennifer Fausett provide treatments, they can diagnose the types and stages of dementia, the expected course of the disease and provide treatment recommendations. Their assessments also determine the level of care a person may require in future months and years and whether treatment options, such as surgery, are safe.
