Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Clinical Neuropsychology

The psychology training program at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences’ Department of Psychiatry offers a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Clinical Neuropsychology. The program has been a member of the APPCN since 2018 and conforms to the Houston Conference training guidelines.  Training emphasizes prerequisites for Board Certification in Clinical Neuropsychology (ABCN). The fellowship start date is August 1, 2020.

DESCRIPTION: Clinical and research activities are available with a range of adult populations.  The neuropsychology service at UAMS is the only one in the state staffed solely by Board Certified Neuropsychologists and has a strong regional reputation. Patients are referred from across the state and from bordering regions of surrounding states.  Referrals come from multiple medical specialties including Neurology, Neurosurgery, Family Medicine, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and Psychiatry.  Although the majority of service is outpatient based, inpatient consults are also conducted.  The Neuropsychology service at UAMS also serves on multiple surgical teams including epilepsy, DBS, and brain tumor and the resident will be involved in these multi-disciplinary consultations and surgical planning meetings.
