Post-Doctoral Fellowship


The Center for Health Services Research and VA South Central Mental Illness Research, Education and Clinical Center offer an Advanced Fellowship Program in Mental Illness Research and Treatment. This two-year fellowship trains health professionals for future leadership roles in research, education, and clinical services. Practitioners including psychologists, pharmacists, nurses, social workers, and psychiatrists are eligible to apply. Applied clinical research and education activities make up 75 percent of fellowship training, and formal clinical training rotations make up 25 percent of the fellowship. Experts in core research areas including implementation science, telehealth, substance use disorders, suicide prevention, and rural Veterans access and engagement to mental health care are available as mentors.
