All Children Have Big Feelings!

All children have big feelings – and some children have a harder time calming down when those feelings get really big. Learning what children’s brains do during different feelings helps us figure out better ways to support kids who need extra help. To do this, we are studying how the brain works in everyday situations.

Play is most kids’ favorite thing to do, and it’s a safe, natural way for children to show what they’re feeling. Play is also how therapists work with young children who feel mad or sad. The more we understand about play and the brain, the better we can support children and families.

Who can participate: Children between 3 and 6 years old

What to expect:

  • Each visit takes about three hours, with breaks
  • Afternoons and weekends are available.
