Training in Evidence-Based Treatments for Trauma
As part of a statewide initiative to improve care for traumatized youth, ARBEST is integrating the latest research with state-of-the-art training for mental health professionals. ARBEST operates under the auspices of the UAMS Psychiatric Research Institute and promotes excellence in care for children and adolescents experiencing physical or sexual abuse. Because evidence-based treatments (EBTs) have demonstrated success in reducing symptoms in children and adolescents and improve coping mechanisms of parents, a statewide dissemination of such interventions has been initiated by the ARBEST program, including trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), child-parent psychotherapy (CPP), and parent-child interaction therapy (PCIT).
ARBEST offers free, comprehensive training for mental health professionals in the following evidence-based trauma treatments:
- Advanced Evidence-Based Treatment
- Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP)
- Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT)
- Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)
- Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)
