The Pulaski County Regional Crisis Stabilization Unit is a partnership with UAMS and Pulaski County. A therapeutic psychiatric service provided for persons in acute behavioral health crisis, the Pulaski County Regional Crisis Stabilization Unit is staffed by Psychiatric Research Institute employees and includes a multi-disciplinary team of nurses, social workers, prescribers, and psychiatric technicians. The mission of the unit is to provide a much needed alternative to inpatient psychiatric hospitalization or emergency room visits for persons in crisis or who encounter law enforcement due to their psychiatric condition.
The Pulaski County Regional Crisis Stabilization Unit, which serves Pulaski, Perry, Saline, Lonoke, Jefferson and Grant counties, is located at 3001 W. Roosevelt Road. location to recognize the contributors to the center as well as those it will be assisting in the future. The 16-bed unit is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The unit includes separate shower facilities for male and female guests.
