At the UAMS Brain Imaging Research Center, we conduct impactful, ethically grounded research with a commitment to integrity, transparency, and collaboration. Through partnership with peers and engagement with our community, our work contributes to advance understanding of the complex relationships between brain structure, function, metabolism and human behavior.
Leveraging state-of-the-art neuroimaging technology and advanced analytic approaches, we investigate the neural mechanisms underlying mental illness. Our work seeks to uncover novel insights into the nature of brain-related disorders, such as depression, substance use, and dementia, to elucidate the biological mechanisms that drive treatment response.
