Research Expertise
Dr. Painter is a pharmacist and health services researcher. He received his Doctor of Pharmacy, Master of Business Administration, and Doctor of Philosophy (Pharmaceutical Outcomes & Policy) degrees from the University of Kentucky. His dissertational work examined the chronic opioid use in patients suffering from fibromyalgia. Dr. Painter’s research focuses on estimating the costs associated with implementing and providing innovative health interventions, especially interventions for treating mental health disorders and pain.
