
The Northwest Arkansas Crisis Stabilization Unit, located at 105 N. Mill Ave. in Fayetteville, is a partnership between UAMS and Washington County. The 16-bed facility works with law-enforcement officials in Washington, Benton, Baxter, Boone, Marion, Newton, Carroll and Madison counties to provide a safe and effective alternative to incarceration for those with behavioral health problems.
Services are provided 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Guests should expect a stay between 72 and 96 hours and should be 18 years or older. Services offered at the Northwest Arkansas Crisis Stabilization Unit include:
- Therapeutic intervention and care coordination
- Triage and assessment
- Medication management
- Mild to moderate detox management
