At the UAMS Psychiatric Research Institute’s Women’s Mental Health Program, our caring and compassionate specialists offer a wide range of services to increase your quality of life. The integration of mind, body and spirit is an important goal for women’s health, yet various life events may negatively affect your ability to achieve such balance. At the Psychiatric Research Institute, we are here to help when you are pregnant, postpartum or having difficulty getting pregnant and struggling with mental health issues with or without substance abuse.
Postpartum depression, miscarriage, loss, major transitions, illness and other physical changes may overwhelm your ability to cope and may place you at risk for depression, anxiety, grief or other emotional responses that disrupt daily living.
Appointments
The Women’s Mental Health Program is a self-referral clinic. Although the Psychiatric Research Institute does not require a referral for this clinic, some insurance providers require a referral for specialty care. Please check with your insurance provider prior to requesting an appointment.
