The Psychotherapy Training Center, co-sponsored by the Psychiatric Research Institute and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, will be offering two courses this upcoming fall.
The first course, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, starts Tuesday, Aug. 24, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., at the Psychiatric Research Institute. The course will run for 10 weeks and be taught by Kim Jones, Ph.D., LCSW.
The second course, Cognitive-Behavioral Psychotherapy, will start Tuesday, Aug. 24, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the Psychiatric Research Institute. The course will run for 10 weeks and be taught by John Milwee, Psy.D.
The cost is $250 for each course.
All licensed master social workers (LMSW/LCSW) planning to enroll in either class should be aware that the Arkansas Social Work Licensing Board recently ruled that all licensed social workers who take these classes will receive one continuing education unit (CEU) for each hour in attendance.
