Richard H. Turnage, M.D., Executive Associate Dean for the UAMS College of Medicine, is chairing the search committee for the next Marie Wilson Howells Professor and Chair of the Department of Psychiatry and the Director of the Psychiatric Research Institute. He has assembled a very strong committee from across UAMS and has included a key life member of our UAMS Psychiatric Research Institute Advisory Board. Together with the international search firm, Witt Kieffer, they are publicizing the position and are in the process of seeking nominations of qualified applicants. Internal applicants are welcome and encouraged to apply. Dr. Turnage estimates that the committee will begin reviewing curriculum vitae of interested individuals in April with virtual interviews later that month.
