A trio of familiar faces will be joining the ranks of the UAMS Psychiatric Research Institute’s faculty in the coming months. Greer Sullivan, M.D., MSPH, a former professor and vice chair for research in the UAMS Department of Psychiatry, moved to California in 2014 to become a professor at the University of California at Riverside School of Medicine and an adjunct senior scientist with the RAND Corporation. Sullivan returned to the Psychiatric Research Institute in April and sees patients in the Walker Family Clinic and the AR-Connect program. She will also be heading the department’s Research Academic Track and serving as medical director of the Psychiatric Research Institute’s Center for Trauma Prevention, Recovery & Innovation (CTPRI).
Tisha Deen, Ph.D., a clinical psychologist with the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System and former Psychology intern at the Psychiatric Research Institute, will supervise the department’s Psychology interns beginning in May. She will hold a dual appointment in the departments of Psychiatry and Internal Medicine, working in the Integrated Behavioral Health program of the Internal Medicine Service Line.
Samidha Tripathi, M.D., who served as an attending psychiatrist at the Psychiatric Research Institute until leaving in 2020 to take a position at the University of Washington in Seattle, is returning in July to help develop a Consult Liaison Psychiatry Fellowship as well as serving as the co-director of the Psychiatry Junior Clerkship.
