Research Experience
Dr. Rajinder “Sonia” Singh is a clinical psychologist with research interests in implementation science and health equity, with a specific interest in policy implementation to improve health equity for gender and sexual minoritized Veterans and people (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and additional minoritized gender and sexual orientation identities: LGBTQ+). Dr. Singh’s clinical interests are in anxiety and obsessive-compulsive and related disorders, and contemporary behavioral therapies (e.g., Acceptance and Commitment Therapy). Dr. Singh is currently leading projects focused on evaluating the VA’s nationwide LGBTQ+ Veteran Care Coordinator program and examining gender identity data entry in the VA electronic health record. Dr. Singh completed her doctoral training at Bowling Green State University and predoctoral internship at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston, TX. Dr. Singh then completed a two-year Advanced Fellowship Program at the VA South Central Mental Illness Research, Education and Clinical Center (MIRECC) in Little Rock, AR before becoming an investigator and psychologist at the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare Center and an assistant professor at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.
