At the Women’s Mental Health Program, we understand that recovery is not just about treatment – it’s about connections, trust, and support from those who truly understand. That’s why we offer Peer Support Specialist services as part of our comprehensive care.
Peer Support Specialists are people in long term recovery with a personal history of a mental health condition and/or substance use disorder. They are trained and certified to provide guidance, encouragement, and understanding to others navigating similar journeys.
What Peer Support Specialists Offer:
- Emotional support from someone who understands
- Help setting and reaching recovery goals
- Support with accessing resources like housing, employment, and childcare
- Connection to community support groups and services
- A safe space to talk, without judgement
Whether you’re just beginning your recovery or looking to maintain long-term progress, our Peer Support Specialist is here to walk beside you with compassion and care.
