Giving to PRI

Your generosity makes our mission possible…

The Psychiatric Research Institute is doing work that exists nowhere else in Arkansas, advancing clinical care, training the next generation of mental health professionals, conducting research that changes lives, and reaching communities that need us most. There are several ways to invest in our mission. Read more below.

Donate

Each gift to PRI, no matter the level, strengthens our ability to provide outstanding clinical care, pursue innovation in education, and advance cutting-edge research.

Donations can be made online or by mailing a check to:

PRI Partners

PRI Partners is our signature annual giving society, made up of a community of dedicated individuals whose unrestricted gifts power PRI’s highest priorities each year. Formerly known as the Director’s Club, PRI Partners reflects the true spirit of our work: collaboration, shared vision, and collective impact.

Annual membership provides discretionary support that allows PRI to:

  • Launch and sustain innovative research by early-career as well as established faculty
  • Expand education and training programs that build Arkansas’s mental health workforce
  • Fund community outreach and programs that improve mental health outcomes statewide
  • Respond swiftly to emerging needs and opportunities throughout the year

Annual Giving Levels:

Partner — $1,000

Advocate Partner — $2,500

Lead Partner — $5,000

Annual gifts are tax-deductible. Learn more about PRI Partners →

Endowed Chairs

An endowed chair is one of the most powerful gifts a donor can make. It is a permanent, self-sustaining source of funding that supports visionary leadership at PRI in perpetuity. Endowment assets are invested, with a portion distributed annually to support the chair’s purpose and any excess reinvested to grow the fund’s value over time.

PRI is currently building endowments in three strategically critical areas: Interventional Psychiatry, Women’s Mental Health, and Brain Imaging Research. A minimum gift of $1 million establishes a chair; $1.5 million establishes a distinguished chair. To learn more about endowment opportunities, please contact Emily Wood, Senior Director of Development at ewood@uams.edu.

Planned Giving

A planned gift is one of the most meaningful ways to ensure your values and vision endure for generations. By including PRI in your estate or financial plans, you help secure the long-term future of mental health care in Arkansas while potentially realizing significant personal financial benefits.

A well-designed planned gift may:

  • Provide income for life
  • Reduce or eliminate capital gains taxes
  • Generate a charitable income tax deduction
  • Reduce or eliminate gift and estate taxes

Planned giving options include bequests, appreciated securities, gifts of stock, and many other vehicles. We encourage you to explore these possibilities in consultation with your financial planner and/or legal counsel. PRI’s Senior Director of Development, Emily Wood, is happy to meet with you to discuss your long-term philanthropic goals.
