Mission statement
To enhance access to and engagement in mental health care for rural and other marginalized Veterans and other populations exposed to occupational trauma using patient-centered, community-engaged approaches to developing and delivering care.
History of TRECC
Our lab was founded in December 2021 by Drs. Griffin, Pyne, and Weber. It was an outgrowth of our larger research teams that we are all still a part of at the Center for Mental Healthcare and Outcomes Research (CeMHOR) , the South Central Mental Illness Research, Education, and Clinical Center (SCMIRECC) , the Center for Health Services Research (CHSR) and the Psychiatric Research Institute. Over time, our team grew to include Dr. Grubbs in 2023 and numerous trainees and collaborators.
